My experience with elder care started when I managed elder homecare for 6 years. I also had my own personal clients to care for. I do have experience with Alzheimer's, Dementia, and hospice. However now days I prefer minimal personal care. I can assist with ambulatory, getting dressed, and safety assist for bathing. Light house keeping, laundry, and meal preparation. Running errands, going to Dr appointments, or just getting out of the house for a while. Companionship is important. Lately I have been doing more "House and Personal Assistant" type of work. Helping clients get their affairs in order, helping fill out health insurance forms, paying bills. I've helped clients who have lost a spouse take care of all the red tape. Also guiding them to better understanding how to use phones and computers. Looking up information or ordering items that they need. Sometimes helping with light honey-do tasks around home.
