About Shamel

Hi! My name is Shamel , but I go by Mel and I am from Salisbury, MD. I am currently a freshman in Miami on a full ride, finishing up my first year. I graduated from Wicomico High School and earned my CPR certification and CNA license through the Parkside High School Technical Program last year. I am majoring in nursing with a specialty in pediatrics. Last summer, I volunteered at Nicklaus Children's Hospital here in Florida to gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. I also had the opportunity to work alongside children with special needs during my internship with the football team in Miami, where we hosted Gatorade camps that welcomed children of all abilities. I will be returning home for the summer in early May. Working with children has always been a passion of mine, and I am eager to lend a helping hand to families in need!!
