About Shameka

We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care that Shameka provided for our father. She was truly a gift to our family during a traumatic loss of our mom and wife to my father for over 50 years. Shameka demonstrated a remarkable level of compassion and empathy, approaching every interaction with kindness, understanding, and a genuine desire to make my father feel comfortable and valued as a person. Shameka also comforted my sisters and me. She baked us all lasagna. Shameka made my father his favorite meals, like grits and eggs. Beyond her compassionate nature,Shameka is also incredibly reliable and trustworthy. She was consistently punctual, meticulously followed Dad's care plan, including medication schedules and appointments, and was proactive in identifying any potential needs or changes in his health. We particularly appreciated her excellent communication skills. Shameka kept us well-informed and updated us on Dad's well-being and daily activities, effectively bridging the gap between professional care and our family involvement. She is also meticulous about cleaning up before, during, and after her shift at our home. We will miss her tremendously. However, my father will see Shameka when she visits a family member who is attending college near my father’s assisted living home in Massachusetts. We can all learn from her excellent caretaking skills and her positive outlook on life. Thank you, Shameka.
