Shameka is amazing! She is our current full-time nanny for our 3 year old daughter. She works long hours for us, is flexible as our needs/schedules change, and is always on time. She is professional and also so much fun! Our daughter absolutely loves Ms. Meka! The two of them go on so many fun adventures to museums, the zoo, and playgrounds. Shameka also emphasizes incorporating education into playtime and our daughter has learned the days of the week, months of the year, and so much more. As we get ready to welcome a new baby into our family this summer, I am so grateful to have Shameka in our lives. She is truly a member of our family and my personal fairy godmother. 

Mrs.Meka is really the most amazing. The way she connects and is able to influence our 4-year-old son is incredible and we can't speak highly enough about her. This was our first time trying Care.com and feels like we hit the jackpot. Just wish I could hire her full-time. Highest recommendations!

Shameka cared for our 4 month old boy during the workday for a week, and we can't thank her enough. Because I work from home, I'm used to my friends and family thinking I can still do other household/childcare things while I'm not actively in meetings, but Shameka made it so that I could totally focus on my work. She worked with our little one on sleeping independently since he's been so used to contact naps during the day, and he's already getting more used to napping in his bassinet. As new parents, we also appreciated her advice and tips (which were solicited by us due to her experience). We will definitely be reaching out to her again for help in the future and highly recommend her to others as well!

Shameka was a great nanny.  Very hands on and thorough with the care of my grandkids. She was brought aboard for the baby but she was engaged with the older children as well and all three plus me loved her being a part of our family.

Shameka is amazing and she did a great job with our 5 month old daughter. She was on time, kind, patient, and communicated how things were going consistently. She was an absolute joy and I definitely recommend her.

A few things to note for some parents out there:

-eldest daughter is diagnosed with autism, slightly verbal
-1.5yo finally sleeping in crib

From the first time our 2 daughters met Shameka, they were in love and couldn't wait to see her again.  The second time they met was on our actual date night.  My 4 year old was so excited, she closed the door behind me as we left.  The fact that they were so comfortable around Shameka took so much off our shoulders and allowed us to enjoy our time out.  When we arrived home, both of our babies were absolutely knocked out.

With no family in the state, having Shameka as a trusted, loving person to watch our kids is a real blessing.  I definitely recommend her service for special occasions or even on-going care AND we will definitely call upon her again.

This was the first time I've used Care.com to find a sitter for my two toddler boys. We have a full time nanny who took a few days off and I thought Id give it a shot. I was very impressed by Shameka's experience and history and we met for an in-person interview. I could tell right away she had extensive experience in education and caring for children - and my boys took to her right away. Shameka had activities planned for the boys and even took them to the museum for a morning of fun. We very highly recommend Shameka and look forward to seeing her again soon!

This was my first time using this app and I was a little nervous. I reached out to Shameka and she very kindly got back to within the hour. We chatted and she made me feel comfortable. Long story short she was amazing. She arrived with no problem and ahead of time. Kept me updated and in the loop. Was kind and knowledgeable. Just gave her my own instructions and she went right to it. I would most definitely hire Shameka again. 

Being punctual and dependable is just the beginning for Shameka!  She is truly extraordinary!  My daughter and son-in-law hired her to be the nanny for their 2 children, ages 2 & 4.  Since we all share a home, I do have first hand knowledge of Shameka's interactions and relationships with my granddaughters.  Not only is Shameka attentive and watchful with the girls, but she provides a lot of instruction appropriate for preschoolers.  I am a former elementary school teacher and I understand how much preparation goes into the projects and activities Shameka does with the girls. Not only is she wonderful for at home days, but she takes them on "field trips" to the park or museums often.  Somehow, she never seems overwhelmed or never runs out of energy. She makes nutritious meals and incorporates good table manners in every meal.  We don't know how she does it all and will miss her tremendously.  She is always kind and cheerful and helps us all!

Shameka is an amazing person. She cared for our kids like they were her own. She is a dedicated professional with a fantastic intuition when it comes to children. I highly recommend her! You will not be disappointed.
