About Shalaya

Hi! I'm Shalaya, a dependable and professional caregiver with experience supporting children from infancy to teens, in homes, schools, and camps. I've worked as a nanny, overnight camp counselor, and youth leadership program leader, keeping kids safe, engaged, and encouraged. I also spent two years 1:1 in Boston Public Schools supporting students with developmental, learning, and physical differences, assisting with behavior plans, communication devices, personal care, and classroom participation. Currently, I work as a crisis and access specialist, strengthening my communication, problem-solving, and emotional support skills. I hold a B. S. in Psychology and an M. S. in Criminology & Criminal Justice, giving me a strong understanding of child development and social-emotional support.
