About Shakira

Shakira was everything that I was hoping for as a companion and caregiver for my Mother and also my Uncle. Like most families when they are looking for a caregiver it is progressive. In the beginning my Mother needed someone to help with everyday life. Mom had Parkinson with Lewy body dementia. Shakira did my mother’s shopping, helped with transportation to and from doctor’s appointments and so much more. She also dispensed medication and dealt with the doctor about my Mom’s different needs. As Mom’s condition progressed Shakira adjusted to all new needs. Helping as a shower aid, dressing wounds when needed. She also made meals as needed. But most of all she was my Mom’s companion and friend. Treating her with love and respect. Shakira is smart, honest and very dependable. My husband and I traveled often and I never had a worry with the care and decisions that was provided when we were away. Shakira was with our family through hospice and we don’t know what we would have done without her. Soon after my Mom passed my Uncle went into hospice and Shakira was there for us again. She is a loving caring family member to us. Shakira spent 4+ years caring for my family members and I will always be thankful we found her.
