Though I am young , I have 19 years of experience with children. This includes multiples, infants, children with special needs, and even preteens and Teens. When watching 4 or more children, instead of having them glued to a TV, I normally present to them different games that I have picked up over the years. But when it is one on one care with toddlers and up, I typically encourage any age appropriate game that peeks the imagination and intelligence of each child. Like building caves and forts with household items on rainy days. I am also a lover of arts and crafts as well as outdoor activities. I am fully capable of doing light housework and after school pickups. I am fun loving, easy going, and have been known to break the ice with even the most timid of children. I am extremely patient, understanding, and slow to anger. So please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Shakiah has cared for my daughter from the time she was a newborn through 10 months old, and I truly can’t say enough good things about her. She’s incredibly warm, gentle, and attentive—whether she’s reading, singing, or simply being present and engaging. I’ve trusted her to care for my daughter both while I was home and while I was away, and each time I’ve felt total peace of mind. It’s clear she genuinely loves children and treats them with so much care and patience. We feel so lucky to have had her during such an important stage in our baby’s life.
