About Shaina

Hi! My name is Shaina. I have a bachelor's degree with a background in human development, and I currently work in a part-time patient-focused healthcare role. I have a very calm and easygoing personality. I am happy to provide companionship, medication reminders, errands, household tasks, appointments, or support with everyday activities. I really enjoy getting to know the people I care for. I have worked in a variety of healthcare roles over the past 6 years and have EMT training, although I am not currently certified. Because of my background, I'm comfortable recognizing when something may require additional attention, and knowing when to seek appropriate help. I have experience working with adults in the early stages of cognitive decline and dementia. While I am not a dementia care-specialist, I understand the importance of reassurance, and meeting someone where they are. I want to help people feel respected and capable while providing dignified support with daily routines.
