About Shaina

Aloha! My name is Shaina, and I'm a 27-year-old homeschool teacher based in Kapa'a. I have a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and previous experience in neuroscience research, but my passion is working with children. For the past 2 years, I've been a private homeschool teacher, creating one-on-one lessons that encourage curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. I started caring for kids in high school and college through babysitting, and I bring patience, creativity, and dependability to every family I work with. I enjoy arts and crafts, hands-on projects, and nature-based activities. I live on a large property with goats and a garden, offering kids a safe and engaging place to explore and play. Families describe me as nurturing, reliable, and fun, and I truly enjoy helping children grow both academically and personally.
