We truly cared for Seriah and loved the way she interacted with our child. She was warm, attentive, and nurturing, and our baby was very comfortable with her. Unfortunately, our experience ended due to a serious breakdown in communication. After taking time off for personal reasons, we agreed on a return timeline and shared schedules, but we did not receive any response despite multiple follow-ups via text and phone calls. Ultimately, she did not return as planned and stopped communicating altogether. This lack of communication placed our family in a very difficult position, requiring us to scramble for coverage, rearrange work schedules, and take unexpected time off. Had we been informed that she was unable or unwilling to return, we could have used that time to secure long-term care instead of being left uncertain. While we appreciate the care she provided when present, reliability and communication are essential in a childcare role. We hope future families establish very clear expectations around availability and responsiveness.
