Taking care of children and supporting them has been something l've always loved. I love their creative little minds that look up to us for everything. As an older sibling of 2, I know how to incorporate fun, playing outdoors, "just dance"! And making toys come to life with our imagination. I have reliable transportation and I'm okay with pets. l am also certified in CPR. I'm happy to care for up to four children. I look forward to meeting your family and creating a fun, safe environment for your children.
Terrible communication, unprofessional and quit within the first week. We originally hired Serenity to be our nanny for our 9 month old daughter. To begin this journey, we had a training scheduled with my wife the weekend before she started that she slept through. We take accountability for this since we never established a definitive time and cannot expect people to always be available, so we gave her the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled Once she started, she was actually fairly good with our daughter and was with us for a week before she sent my wife a message at 1:30am the day before our next schedule training saying that she wasn't going to continue and blamed it on the amount of light housekeeping that supposedly wasn't discussed during the interview or hiring process. This was a lie as we directly told her multiple times that items such as washing bottles and washing/folding our daughter's laundry was a part of the responsibilities and IF she had time for other household cleaning, it would be appreciated but not required. She said in the text message that I (husband) asked her to "multiple times" wash our (parents) dishes and fold our (parents) laundry which is simply untrue. I asked her twice during the week she was with us to specifically only wash our daughters bottles and once to fold strictly our daughters laundry (which was no more than 15 pieces of clothes, including wash cloths) AFTER she made sure she had taken a break, eaten, used the restroom, and had some time to relax. The day before she quit, my wife had also scheduled another training for her at the end of her first week to which she declined by sending my wife a message at 11pm the night before saying she had other obligations which were never brought to our attention after several confirmations she was available. When she quit, she didn't give us time to find another person to watch our daughter for the upcoming week and when my wife responded to her asking to talk about things, she completely ghosted us and we haven't heard from her since. Had she communicated with us letting us know some things were raising red flags for her or that she was concerned about anything/expectations were too high for her, we would have gladly talked through things and adjusted. He said many many times how important communication is to us and wanted to respect her. We're not upset that she quit as we fully understand things come up or change, but the way that she went about it and the reasons for it were extremely unprofessional and untrue. We would not recommend her to any family based on our experience.
