About Selena

I mainly offer respite care. I spend time with elderly patients while their primary caregiver runs errands, does tasks at home, or leaves the home to take a break. I am really good at finding common interest with individuals. I've mostly spend time with dementia patients. I enjoy learning about their lives and interests. I never argue with patients and always focus on keeping the mood light. I'll talk about mostly anything a patient wants to discuss. I've had very religious patients, atheist, conservative, and liberal patients. In every occasion their family have struggled to find someone who won't take offense. I can promise you that my goal is to make our time enjoyable, not to argue. I enjoy playing games that stimulate the mind and have taught multiple caregivers how to use technology (such as Alexa) to make life easier for the patient. For example, programming Alexa to remind a patient what numbers to push on the remote control to watch her favorite show.
