About Sela

Welcome! I am a trained & experienced teacher for middle school through high schoolers. I have a passion for working with children of all ages, but students with special needs have a dear place in my heart. I specialize in any style of reading/writing assignments, but mostly love historical or creative writing. Having taught AP US History and studied Sociology in college, I have extensive knowledge in American Government, World History, and Civics. In addition to understanding IB/AP English, I spent several years as a collegiate writing tutor-assisting graduate & undergraduate students in their writing processes. I also have experience in math as I've studied Pre-Calculus & Statistics. With a background of 13 years in track and field (4 years in D1), I enjoy incorporating physical activity into sessions for a more fun experience focus for every student. I have no problem commuting for a session or meeting on Zoom if easier for both of us. I look forward to meeting you!
