I've been working as a nanny in the New York area for over 10 years, mostly in Jersey City, usually for children in the 3 month to 2 year age range. I commute from Queens and have some flexibility about where I work next. I've also raised three wonderful adult children of my own. I love talking, reading, singing, playing, and going for walks and playground trips with the children I care for. I also love dressing them up and celebrating with them for special occasions like birthdays. Parents have told me that having me to talk to every day has given their toddlers a big boost in verbal development and helped them learn to talk earlier. I have experience with babies who need to be rocked to sleep and babies who have been sleep trained, and depending on your child's schedule I can also help tidy your home during naps. I'm fully vaccinated and boosted, and look forward to meeting your family!

We can't say enough good things about Seermatie - and neither can our two-year-old son! Seermatie has taken care of our boy for about eighteen months, starting when he was about eight months old, and he liked her immediately. She has spoken, sung, and played with him every day, and because of all this interaction he learned to listen and talk very quickly (he's now a little chatterbox who talks with us about everything and makes friends easily with other kids). Maltie (as we call Seermatie at home) consistently arrives early, feeds our son, changes him, gets him ready for his nap, reads to him, tidies up his play area and our home while he's sleeping, takes him for walks and play expeditions in the park, and leaves our entire family happier and more energized than we would be with a less generous caregiver. She has also gone out of her way to be a kind friend to our whole family. We've been exceptionally lucky to work with Maltie. She's the best!
