I am a recent PhD graduate from UMass Lowell's Applied Biology program who is very enthusiastic about biology education. My career goal is to be a teacher or professor of biological sciences so I can educate and train the next generation of biologists and get them to be as enthusiastic about science as I have been throughout my career. My research mainly has centered around developmental biology and genetics, but I have almost a decade of experience teaching all aspects and fundamentals of biology including genetics, ecology, biochemistry, anatomy, evolution, microbiology, etc. I started out as a student tutor for biology and biochemistry at the University of Maine and my love of biology education took me to new experiences including teaching an online invertebrate zoology course, introductory biology laboratory, and a graduate course in genetics.
