About Scout

Hi there! My name is Scout (they/them) and I'm an actor and educator based in Manhattan! I have 10+ years of experience as an educator, nanny, swim coach, and family helper, and I would absolutely love to grow more with you and your family. A little about me: I've taught and coached swimming to all ages (from 2-50!) as well as taught and nannied for families with multiple children. I'm an actor and playwright, so I bring a lot of creativity and spontaneity to child care to ensure everyone feels safe and like they can have fun at the same time! I am super comfy with (read: LOVE) pets and love cooking, and love to share that love with the children I look after! As a queer person with an amazing community around me, I know how important it is to have loving mentors and adults in your life as a child. I lead with the philosophy that Queerness Is Kindness and with the belief that there is nothing more radical than to bring patience, compassion, and joy to a children in any way possible.
