Experience: 10 yrs
I am a Licensed Practical Nurse with 15 years experience taking care of the elderly. I specialize in Alzheimer's, Dementia and memory loss; but have taken care of clients with all kinds of medical issues. Over the years I have received many letters of recommendation from the families of former clients. My services include the following: transportation to and from appointments; bathing, dressing, meal prep, tube feeding, companionship, exercise; performing wound care as needed; medication assistance, injections, and use of oxygen machines; taking patients outside and getting them involved in community. I've learned over the years that it's extremely important to document everything and communicate with other caregivers so that continuity can be maintained. It is important to also have documentation so that when you go to the doctor you have plenty of information to share with them. I often accompany my clients to the doctor and ask relevant questions to further assist the patient.
Scott took care of our mom while she was undergoing cancer treatment. This was no small task as our mom had a feeding tube and a trach. Scott was very professional and detailed in his care. He regularly read through our mom’s online medical chart to ensure doctor’s orders were being followed, and he ordered refills of medication and supplies as needed. Scott drove our mom and stayed with her during doctor appointments. He even drove her to Houston a couple times for treatment. He always updated my sister and I on how our mom’s day went. We felt confident that our mom was in good hands whenever Scott was with her.
