I have volunteered in two EC classrooms for the past three years. One was at an elementary level with students of diverse needs and at all levels of cognitive and physical abilities. In that classroom, I assisted with carrying out lesson plans, providing one-on-one academic and emotional support, and providing assistance to the teacher and assistants. I have most recently been volunteering in a high school MU classroom. In there, I assist students in making choices, working on motor skills, and helping foster skills that will help them be more independent. I am not afraid to learn new things and I enjoy communicating on how to improve my care.
