About Sara

I have worked in after-school care with kids from kindergarten to 5th grade. I play volleyball in college, so I have coached many teams from the ages 6-14. I have babysat all ages of kids including a 7-month-old, 22 months old, and up to the age of 13. I have experience with all ages in between. I have done observational hours for school in three classrooms including a special education classroom. Every morning before my classes senior year I volunteered in a kindergarten classroom, so I'm very familiar with those ages. Currently, around my class schedule, I go into Milwaukee Public Schools and talk to students, usually fourth grade through high school, about college readiness, good grades, respect, and how important it is to set goals. I also have two jobs with the Bethesda College, special needs students at my college, so I have experience with older kids with special needs as well. This summer I will also be a camp counselor at the YMCA.
