I have began working with adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness through volunteering at a group home in 2012. I then got a job working there in 2014. I was unable to continue in 2015 due to my college class schedule conflicting with shifts. In 2017, after graduating from college, I began working full time at a day program for adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. I have my bachelor of science degree in bio-psychology with a minor in gerontology. I enjoy working with those with special needs and caring for them. Through both work experiences, I have experience dealing with behavior issues and mental illness as well as medication administration.
