About Sara

As an elementary teacher at a local public school I have experience working with students 4-12 years old. I have been a teacher for 15 years and in education for over 20 years. I have a Masters in Education from. I have a 9-year-old with a learning disability. I believe each child has their own strengths potential to learn. As an educator, I treat each child as an individual. I like tutoring because I have time to work with students individually to meet them where they are at. I am able to target specific needs to support with challenging students to get to the next level in their learning. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, read, garden, and paint. One thing you should know about me is that I care about each student and am dedicated to supporting their learning. My skills include assessing current levels, consulting with parents to address strengths, challenges, and goals. I create individual academic plans for each student and show up with a smile!
