This is the background check we require for all caregivers.
Experience: 1 yr
I am available to provide full time or live in care for a senior in a nonsmoking, no alcohol home with nature close by. I make hearty gluten free meals. I enjoy tea, walks, and good conversation. Personally, I am lit up about sustainability, eco-conscious solutions, recycling/composting/upcycling and honoring this wonderful Earth and the humans in it. I have three grown children and two granddaughters. Self care and spirituality are top priorities as I know I cannot give what I do not have. I am here to serve others in a way that honors the life they are living, assisting them in moving forward in ways that are loving and peaceful. I see the person I am caring for as extended family, community. I love to hear what lights up those I am serving.

Sara was an answer to our prayers. She quite literally was our guardian angel. We kept having to pinch ourselves to see if we were dreaming after she responded to our inquiry to have someone come to my dad's home to care for him at the end of his life. We transitioned him from the hospital to his home and Sara was with us every step of the way. She helped navigate communicating with the hospice team, made him warm, nurturing meals made with loving hands, gave him massages and ensured he was comfortable at all times. She changed his clothes and his sheets several times per day to keep him comfortable. She made sure that friends and family could be in touch with him, navigating visitors and phone calls. She brought fresh flowers into the home and kept it impeccably clean. She helped him out of bed so that he could look out the windows and enjoy some sunshine. She worked with him so that he could draw for the last time (something he loved to do). She made sure to be in constant communication with our family for the weeks leading up to his passing. She was with him holding his hand in the last moments that he passed ensuring that he transitioned with love. She even helped us in the weeks after his passing in clearing his home and selling/donating/disposing of his things. As a family we are forever grateful for her kindness, her expertise, her professionalism, her positive energy, but most of all her heart. She has found her calling. Any family would be blessed to have Sara be a part of their lives. We know we sure feel like we have been. We couldn't have done it without her. She truly was our angel sent to us at a time of complete desperation. We can't thank her enough.
