I have traditionally cared for children as a nanny (and big sister and aunt). But I have so enjoyed spending days with my own grandmother--who is over 90 but still lives alone--that I would like to expand my work into senior care. I would love to become a companion for someone who has some independence (prefer not to handle bathing, catheters, etc). I can prepare healthy meals, do light housecleaning, errands and transportation to appointments, medicine supervision, even some help in and out of the bath or some dressing. I am cheerful and patient, and can spend hours visiting, reading, or watching the old movie channel.
