In many of my positions I have enjoyed working with children who have special needs. As a nanny for a couple of different families I have worked with a child with food restrictions as well as working toward goals under the instruction of an OT and PT. I worked as a case manager of an intensive in home program for children on the autism spectrum for a couple of years and later provided respite care for a family with a child on the spectrum. I have worked as a site supervisor for a Buddy Baseball program and also cared for an infant in Haiti with severe medical needs and developmental delays. When I recently worked as the Lead Teacher in an infant room at a preschool we had a little girl in our classroom with Down Syndrome. Part of the reason I enjoy working with children is helping them have fun while reaching their potential and seeing their pride in the accomplishments they make. I am currently looking for a part time position.
