I love working with children because it is a reminder that play and fun are equally as important as structure and routine. I'm looking for a job that will allow me to use my experience in education to help children grow and learn and support families. I started working with kids when I was in middle and high school. As the oldest of 16 grandchildren, I was our family's built in mother's helper. I began creating swim lesson programming at 16, creating a mommy and me class at my local pool and teaching special needs swim lessons. In my spare time, I like to paint, knit, read, play guitar, sing, and spend time at our local farm market One thing you should know about me is that I value communication! I find, especially working with kids, that open and clear communication helps keep everyone on the same page My skills include behavior management, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring that children are having fun and learning.
