About Sarah

Pre-pandemic (before I pivoted to mainly animal care) I worked at a tiny k-6 private school in Santa Cruz as a teacher's assistant. This branched out into 3 separate nanny-ish positions in addition to becoming the go-to babysitter for at least 7 other students. What has always come to me most easily working with kids is being that person that hears them, sees them, and is truly there with them in the moment-- tough times, and celebratory-- I'm engaged and I care. I've had multiple parents come up to me at school to talk to me and thank me for it, and I don't think there are many things that could make me feel more proud. I still have my childlike wonder pretty well in tact and it helps me get excited with them about whatever they're stoked over! I am warm, curious, playful, patient, comforting, sensitive, thoughtful, and creative.
