About Sarah

Hello! My name is Sarah. I am from Akron, Ohio. I have been working with kids since I was 13 years old. I've worked both as a full time nanny and as a teacher. I have worked in education in other capacities as well. I am bilingual, I do speak Spanish. I have experience with kids of all ages (0-18 years old). I believe it is important for kids of all ages to have the freedom to explore their interests, use their imaginations to be creative, and discover more about themselves and the world around them. For the little ones, I do believe strongly in Montessori methods for developing and learning. I prefer to keep kids away from screens as much as possible, but I'm not opposed to small amounts of downtime for movies or shows when appropriate. I also love to take the kiddos on pre-approved excursions (hiking trails, the park, museums, aquarium, science center, zoo, etc.) I'm pretty go-with-the-flow and can meet any needs or expectations!
