Hi I'm Sarah! I am a nurturing, caring and artistic caregiver and educator! I am currently between full-time teaching positions home with my 10mo old. Im looking for a family who would be comfortable with me brining her along. I have been in the early childhood field and teaching for 10+ years. I have chosen a career working with kids because I love children and also know how important the early years of a child's devopment are. I strive for a low screen, free play, natural lifestyle. I would have your child/children playing outside every day with lots time for reading, art and developmentally appropriate activities! I am a parent of two young daughters (10mos & 4yrs), and we spend lots of time in the outdoors, hiking, swimming and gardening, also cooking, crafting, and with family and friends. I was very nervous about childcare outside of the family for my first child. I am so grateful that we found Sarah! Our highest priorities in a caregiver for our young baby were that they be loving and attentive. As our children have grown, we also value play-based learning, nature education, and social-emotional learning. It is very clear that Sarah's passion lies in understanding children and guiding them toward healthy relationships with themselves, peers, adults, and nature! She has both the formal education and natural instincts to so, and well. She easily gains the trust of children by meeting them where they are. She is exceptionally creative when designing nature-based projects, while leaving abundant space for them to be child-led. The level of thoughtfulness in the caregiving she provides is truly remarkable. Most importantly (to us!), we know our children FEEL loved and cared for when they are with her.
