About Sarah

Hi everyone! I'm Sarah, and I am a current graduate student pursuing a Masters in Social Work, hoping to dedicate some of my free hours towards your children's academic success. I have 4 years of experience as a volunteer literacy tutor for children in 2nd-7th grade, many who were ESL speakers. I previously worked as support staff at a therapeutic school for children with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties and developed valuable skills in providing compassionate educational support and homework help to children that may struggle in traditional academic settings. I also have experience supporting high school seniors in creating competitive college application essays. As a tutor, I am warm, patient, and flexible. Through my professional experience and my own experience of living with ADHD, I understand how frustrating it is to try so hard and still feel like you aren't "getting it." I'm here to work through it together in a creative and non-judgmental space.
