About Sarah

I'm a 48-year-old wife, mom and grandma. I'm in school right now to get my RN nursing license. I have over 20 plus years of experience working with Seniors from being a CNA, to the Program Coordinator at a local Senior Center to working as a Personal Care Aide at an Home Care Agency. I also am CPR/First Aid certified. The past 2 years I have been taking taking care of a patient 5-7 days a week. She is in the early stages of dementia and in the mornings I would help her shower, get dressed, brush teeth and do her make up. Then I would fix her breakfast and make sure she took her morning meds. I would run her to her activities throughout the week. I also would pick up the house start any laundry that needed to be done and wiped down the kitchen area. We would sing and laugh everyday. I come from a family of nurses and hold a special place in my heart for the elderly. If you would like references I would be happy to provide them for you. I interviewed Sarah over the phone and she seemed very sweet, knowledgeable and capable. I also called the references she gave me and they had nothing but wonderful things to say about Sarah. They said that Sarah went above and beyond what was expected of her. We ended up not hiring Sarah because my Mother-in-law found someone who was a friend of a friend and lived closer otherwise we would have hired Sarah!
