About Sarah

I began my professional career as an early childhood education and developmental specialist assistant. I worked in a classroom with children who were developmentally delayed for several years, then I went on to work with preschool and Head start, both programs that I loved. After being in the early education field for 17 year's I decided to change things up, went back to school, I got my bachelor's in human services, and have been working with DSS for the past almost 5 years, in this role I do permanency planning, case management, right home studies for the state, train potential foster parents, assist with license packets for potential foster parents, complete home visits, prepare speaking events, recruiting events, retention events, parties, engagements for foster care, as well as assisting with out of state adoptions, the extended foster care program, and the links program. I also love animals, have previously raised heelers, chickens, ducks, and pigs.
