About Sarah

My name is Sarah and I grew up in Richmond. My parents have six children and I am the fourth with an older brother, two older sisters, and two little brothers. I started babysitting my two younger brothers and neighbors at a young age and fell in love with caring for children. My passion for this has continued to grow through career opportunities in childcare. I moved to the Upper East Side in early June to be closer to my boyfriend, after long distance for two years. I have visited the city multiple times the past two years and have grown to love it. In 2019, I started working at Derbyshire Preschool, and worked there up until my move in May 2024. During my first two years at the preschool I worked as an assistant teacher in the infant room (ages six to 12 months old). My duties in the infant room included diapering, bottle feedings, helping babies get to sleep for naps, and introducing them to solid foods. The infant room taught me how to properly care for babies.
