I launched my caregiving career in NYC where I worked with dozens of families over the years. I'm still in contact with some great fams. I center compassion, patience, and independence with all the youth I care for. I'm constantly inspired by how our youth are excited for adventure! Along with caregiving, I have taught art and museum education with non-profits, museums, private schools, and public schools. I've led classes and workshops in painting, printmaking, sculpture, puppetry, stop-motion, drawing, and other experimental art techniques! We hired Sarah C. in fall 2014 to sit for our son who was then seven years old, four afternoons a week. She has been incredible. Sarah engages our son, sometimes with art projects, and is really like an older sister or cousin to him. My sense is that is not necessarily because Sarah and my son are a particularly good fit, but since she is very good with children. Sarah too gets our son to do most of his homework by the time Rahm gets home. She is also very trustworthy. We hope Sarah continues to stay with us, though understand she needs more hours which we cannot provide. Please feel free to call me, Sarah has our number, if you would like to speak directly. -Josh.
