Hello there! I am excited to help your scholar step deeper into their learner identity. As a former high school and middle school English teacher, I have extensive experience in reading, writing, grammar, listening and speaking. Other tutoring areas include: low level math, science, social studies, dance, guitar, piano, Spanish and ACT prep. My tutoring philosophy is student centered and responsive to individual needs. It is important to me to build a safe and comfortable relationship with each learner so that they feel more comfortable taking intellectual risks. I pride myself in creating a warm, safe, and positive atmosphere for learners. With me, students feel supported, encouraged, and challenged within their zone of proximal development.
