About Sarah

Hello! I'm Sarah -- a long-time caregiver with over 20 years of experience nurturing children of all ages. I recently moved to the Nevada City/Grass Valley area with my husband and am looking to connect with a local family/ies in need of thoughtful, reliable care. My approach is gentle, neuro-affirming, and rooted in mutual respect. It is inspired by Waldorf and Montessori philosophies, as well as my own nature-based, homeschooled upbringing through age 16. I believe in slow, connected caregiving that honors each child's rhythms and individuality. I create calm, supportive spaces where children feel safe, curious, and empowered to be themselves. Whether we're building forts, exploring outside, or navigating big feelings, my intention is to show up with presence, empathy, and playfulness. I'm currently open to a part-time schedule (2-4 days/week) and happy to chat to see if we're a good match. References available upon request!
