About Sara

I am a 3rd grade teacher, going on year 6 of teaching. It's the best job in the world. I have worked with kids as long as I can remember: babysitting for local families while in high school, worked at a daycare for 2 years while pursuing my Associates degree, substitute taught and took up tutoring while pursuing my Bachelors degree, and then finally landed in my field. I have 2 nieces and nephews whom I spend a lot of time with. I have a mentally challenged older sister who suffers from epilepsy. There is a different form of care with her, from bathing her, giving her medication, feeding her, etc. I feel like I have gotten a true taste of working with kids of all age groups and/or limitations. During the school year, I mostly tutor aside from teaching, but can be available for date nights/random occasions that doesn't include a set schedule, but in the summer months, I am much more flexible and open.
