About Sandra

I am a certified teacher 4-8 Generalist and ESL. I am a practicing Christian. I have taught for 16 years in public/charter schools mostly math, some English and Science. I'd describe my personality as passionate, caring, and optimistic. I like tutoring because I love helping students in a less distracting environment to become successful lifelong learners. I'm looking for a job that I can either tutor online or in person. I would love to help a homeschool family and be their math teacher. I started tutoring when I was a sophomore in college, in the Math Department. In my spare time, I like to work in my vegetable garden, go on walks, and spend time with family. One thing you should know about me is I am very dependable and thorough. I can work with any curriculum and can scaffold and differentiate well. My skills include content expertise, excellent at figuring out where the student needs help and building upon successes, and I have knowledge of many resources.
