I know that young families have a great need for backup childcare. My desire has been to do occasional or last-minute type positions. Kids off school, date nights, occasional night out, etc. One person is a mom in the medical field. She travels and I would stay overnight with her son, make sure he is looked after. This arrangement worked great for us both. That was from January, 2014 until 2023. I watched a 9-year-old for 14 months. Her mother is a nurse/anesthetist leaving at 6:30 a.m. I would get daughter up/off to school several mornings a week. Picked her up from school for after school activities. Job ended in 2024. Drove 12-year-old to school in Bay Village two mornings a week. Drove her for the last 18 months. Last school year drove twins two mornings a week to school in Westlake. Driving jobs have been great and I have enjoyed. I have absolutely no problem transporting children, or any needs that a family might have. I am reliable and very flexible schedule wise.
