June 7, 2026 Re: Letter of recommendation for Sandra To Whom It May Concern: I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Sandra; she cared for my mother for 3 weeks while my mother was in hospice in my home in July, 2025. Sandra worked the day shift, normally a 7-8 hour shift, sometimes beside other hospice staff from Hinds Hospice. As part of her job, Sandra cooked meals, provided bedside care, escorted my mom from her bed to the living room, etc. She assisted my mom, who was using a walker to the nearby bathroom, then to the bedside commode. Sandra provided my mom a sponge bath as needed, then assisted the hospice care CNA's when they came to bathe my mom, change her clothing, then change her bedding. The CNA's complimented Sandra on her skills and how well she worked with my mom. Sandra frequently repositioned my mom while she was in bed, so that my mom would be comfortable in her hospital bed. Other duties Sandra provided included placing dirty laundry in the washer and dryer, folding laundry, washing dishes, and she would always ask what else she could do, while my mother was sleeping. lappreciated that Sandra showed initiative and anticipated what my mother needed. The important role was for Sandra to care for my mom, so could work from home, or get a few hours of sleep while Sandra was there during the day. I appreciated that Sandra would speak with my mom while caring for her, she always explained what she was doing, or what she was going to do, so that my mother understood. My mom was very comfortable with Sandra and responded well to Sandra. My mom was willing to follow Sandra's directions, as explained. Sandra was always patient, kind in caring for my mom. Sandra worked and partnered with the hospice RN(s), CNA(s), and other hospice staff on a daily basis. They provided her direction and asked for her feedback regarding my mom's care. Our family was very fortunate to have Sandra caring for our mom, after my mother passed away (on July 31, 2025), I texted Sandra and told her that she was an angel who cared for my mom and I felt blessed to have her.
