Hello! My name is Sandy and I would love the opportunity to discuss how I could provide help in caring for you and your family member. We recently moved to Kelseyville, CA as my husband accepted a Primary Care position at Sutter Lakeside Family Medicine Center. While living in NY I worked for a lovely family. I helped care for their home, yard, pool, pets, ran errands and provided care for a family member with Alzheimer's among a variety of other responsibilities. We also provided them with house/pet sitting while they were out of NY. Previous to moving to Upstate New York in August 2009, I had the opportunity to work at a lovely assisted living home in Moorhead, MN as their lead caregiver. While this position did include a lot of administrative duties, I also attended to the resident s activities of daily living such as bathing, cleaning, cooking and mediation dispensing. I left this position as we moved out of MN for my husband s work. I was fortunate enough to have found an amazing family needing care for their loved one upon moving to the Syracuse, NY area. I cared for their loved one from August 2009 until November 2012 when he passed away. In this position, I assisted the client with activities of daily living, which included bathing, personal cares, changing of briefs as needed, meal preparation; dispense medication, vitals and household responsibilities. I helped to foster client's adaption to new situations and experiences with the objective of enhancing quality of life. I communicated client's health condition to family, physicians, and nurses. I have experience caring for people with a wide range of needs and many different diagnosis including MS, Parkinson's disease, brain injuries, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, quadriplegic's, those confined to their bed, and many more. I hold a current certification in First Aid and CPR. I am currently enjoying getting settled into our new home and lovely area. However, I truly miss assisting people and helping them to stay in their home. Helping your family member would be a wonderful and positive experience for us all.
