I have been a caregiver for seniors, mentally and physically handicapped adults and children for 14 years. I am comfortable caring for both men and woman. I have been working with hospice clients for 8 years as well of dementia and Alzheimer's clients. I find that patience, compassion and understanding is a vital part to caring for anyone. However, clients with Dementia, Alzheimer's and Hospice need additional support in this area.

I am CPR and First aid trained. I am trained in Foley care as well as full Incontinence care. I have earned Certifications in Dementia care, EssentiALZ with Alzheimer's Association, End-of-life Palliative Care, Navigating the end-of-life journey, Bereavement and Grief Counseling and Safe Handling/Administration of Medication including insulin. 

I have my College degree in Early Childhood Education but I found my passion with seniors.

Wow is all I can say for the exceptional care that Sandra provided for my sister. She truly embodies the spirit of compassion and dedication! She has been a shining beacon of hope and a blessing to our family.

I hired her to take care of my parents. She was a no call no-show on her first day as a caregiver. She is very unprofessional! 

My father suffered 2 strokes in November and stayed in the hospital for 6 months. When it was time to transition his care to home, though he would still require extensive medical care, we found Sandra. While we were getting the house ready to bring him home from the hospital, my mom, brother, and myself interviewed Sandra. Immediately she put us to ease, and she made us feel like we could accomplish this incredibly difficult task we were about to do. We hired her that day, and 3 days later, she was going to meet my mom at the hospital to meet my dad. Unfortunately, that day, my dad took a turn for the worse and nobody was at the hospital except for my mom and Sandra. Sandra was amazing and stuck by my moms side when she was being told my dad would need to go on hospice. Sandra comforted and reassured my mom, gave her words of comfort and advice, and stayed there until my brother got to the hospital. Sadly, a few days later (this morning actually), my father passed away. Although we've only known Sandra for a week, she has called and texted asking for updates on my dad, and offering her support and sympathy when I explained that he passed. She truly has a heart of gold and I do believe God brought her into our lives when he did, for a reason. Even though she didn't get the opportunity to take care of my dad in his home, the care she provided my family will be something I'll never forget, and I'll be forever grateful for.

Thanks to her remarkable care, my dad was able to thrive in his own home for an additional 10 months before his passing in 2022, a powerful reminder of the difference we can make in the lives of others.  We are still in contact with Sandra and she is will always be a wonderful part of our family. 

My mom's homecoming journey started on January 22nd marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey, one that was made possible by the incredible support of Sandra. As we navigated the uncharted waters of hospice care, Sandra's guidance and compassion proved to be a beacon of hope. In the midst of uncertainty, she illuminated the path ahead, empowering us to face the challenges with courage and resilience. Although Sandra’s time with us was brief, Sandra's presence was a precious gift that transformed our experience. With her unwavering dedication, she tended to my mom's every need, allowing us to focus on cherishing the moments we shared. As we gathered around my mom in her final days, Sandra's expertise and kindness helped us navigate the complexities of hospice care. Her collaboration with the hospice nurses ensured that my mom's transition was peaceful and dignified. Surrounded by loved ones, my mom passed away on February 3rd leaving behind a legacy of love and memories. We will forever be grateful for the time we shared with Sandra, whose selfless devotion and love inspired us to find strength in the midst of adversity.

I really cannot say enough good things about Sandra. She was a true gift to our family. She cared for my mom and step-dad for 7 months and then stayed with my mom for 15 more months. She was kind, knowledgeable, and so communicative. My brothers and I lived ten hours away from our mom but we never worried about her bc Sandra was so wonderful. The hospice nurses all commented on how great she was too. Sandra is just a wonderful, thoughtful caregiver, the best of the best!!! She made my mom happy and comfortable and was so incredibly kind to her every single day. Sitting with her as my mom passed away will be something I will obviously never forget, but I will also never forget the grace with which she handled it all. She is a gem.

Sandra is currently caring for my parents and there has been changes in the dynamics . That is something most of us are not familiar with. Sandra is familiar with this. There were a lot of people I watched come and go prior to finding Sandra.  I just didn't feel comfortable leaving my family members under those circumstances. Sandra has the ability to bridge the gap and to help make a situation work by finding middle ground and solutions with care and intelligence. We did not look any further.

Sandra L provided care for my brother for approximately 13 weeks until his death.  As a retired/disabled RN it was difficult to “depend “ on someone to take care of your loved one when you’re unable.  This was during Covid.  However,  Sandra provided EXCELLENT care!! She would update throughout the day.  For example, his appetite, sleep pattern, when the hospice nurse visit.  She would make notes during the nurse visit and would relay that to me.  Also, she would FaceTime my brother and myself twice a day.  My brother was clean, comfortable and was in great spirits and enjoyed Sandra.  I can’t praise Sandra enough, but I wouldn’t hesitate to refer any of my friends and/ or family if they needed any home health assistance!

I don&#39;t normally go out of my way to go leave a review, but in this instance, I think it&#39;s necessary. I hired Sandra to help my wife and I look after my mother. We both work long hours, and she still wants independence by living by herself. Sandra has not only helped my mother gain and retain a bit of her independence, but she goes out of her way to do things with my mother. She is not only professional and respectful with her work she is most importantly compassionate and caring. She cared for my mother like her own, and she has become part of our family. My wife was able to work out hours, and I got a raise and better working hours, so we no longer needed her help. However, God forbid the day comes when we need the help again. I&#39;ll 100% call Sandra for her professional care and, importantly, for her wholehearted compassion! Thank you, Sandra L!

Sandra is a very loving and compassionate caregiver. My father came home from rehab on hospice and we had no idea what to expect. We found Sandra and what a blessing she was. She helped us navigate through all the things we needed to do to make sure our father was receiving the best care during this time. Our father had Parkinson's, and dementia.  Sandra was so patient and loving with him. He looked forward to seeing her everyday. I have to say I was a bit jealous Of the relationship they had at first because he would light up when he saw her, but then I realized that the relationship was a true blessing to our family. Our father passed away after 10 months on hospice. I really believe that if it wasn't for the connection that he and Sandra had, we would have lost him sooner. 
Sandra is an outstanding caregiver who became a true friend to our family.

Sandra cared for our mom when she was scheduled for her 1st shift; however, she no-showed, no-called, no communication at all when she was scheduled for the following evening. She left our bedridden mother at home with no care when she no-showed at her scheduled time. Terrible and unprofessional behavior for a caregiver:(

Sandra was my mom's main caregiver for 5 years. My mom loved her so much as well as the rest of our family. Sandra helped my mom with showers, feeding, meal planing, shopping, Dr appointments. She was my moms Constant companion when we couldn't be there with her. My mom was 87 when she passed in 2019 and Sandra is still a part of our family. We still celebrate holidays and monthly dinners together. She would be a wonderfully caregiver for anyone in need.

Sandra worked for our family for 8 months.  She was a caregiver to both our parents.  So experienced in working with elderly, but brought way more to the table than just making sure their needs were met.  She made it her mission to get to know our parents, what they needed, how to assimilate into their daily life getting to know their personalities, and went above and beyond for us.  When our father passed away, she became our mothers day to day as she suffered from Alzheimer's.  She was our lifeline when we couldn't be there, taking care of all our mothers needs and being able to foreshadow the different things that happen with people in her condition helping us along the way.  She became a trusted, loved caregiver and an extension of our family because she had such an important job.  But it wasn't just a job for her, she connected with our mom, made her days meaningful, and made her laugh and feel loved.  I would recommend her to any family that needs a trusted caregiver.
