I have been a caregiver for seniors, mentally and physically handicapped adults and children for 14 years. I am comfortable caring for both men and woman. I have been working with hospice clients for 8 years as well of dementia and Alzheimer's clients. I find that patience, compassion and understanding is a vital part to caring for anyone. However, clients with Dementia, Alzheimer's and Hospice need additional support in this area. I am CPR and First aid trained. I am trained in Foley care as well as full Incontinence care. I have earned Certifications in Dementia care, EssentiALZ with Alzheimer's Association, End-of-life Palliative Care, Navigating the end-of-life journey, Bereavement and Grief Counseling and Safe Handling/Administration of Medication including insulin. I also do live in care I have my College degree in Early Childhood Education but I found my passion with seniors.

As the care needs of our father increased from companionship to (and through) in-home Hospice (over a six-month period), Sandra joined our family as a critical addition to our caretaking plan. During her time with us, she fulfilled a needed presence in our house and was truly considered part of our family. She was always reliable and punctual and thrived on developing trust with her clients. Her experience allowed for early-recognition of changing behaviors, providing family an earlier opportunity to address problems. When the roles of caretaker and family finally needed to be split and defined, she knew immediately how to help execute and support. Overall, we definitively recommend.
