About Sandra

Sandra worked for our family taking care of our son continuously for 3 years from the time he was 3 months old until we moved to a different part of the country. We would enthusiastically recommend Sandra without reservation for any family with childcare needs. We felt extremely lucky to have had her in our daily lives, meeting the changing needs of our son from the time he was an infant all the way up to a spirited active young boy. Though our son is several years older now, Sandra has still been a beloved presence in his and our lives, with regular video calls and occasional visits when we return to the area. Sandra's strengths are her amazing energy levels and her rapport with our child at each of his developmental stages. We always felt confident leaving him in her care as Sandra demonstrated utmost responsibility, good sense, and was attuned to our son's well being. Sandra has a very loving, kind manner and I never witnessed her speak to my child in an inappropriate way. Under her care, our son thrived physically, emotionally, and intellectually. She is playful, but firm when it is needed, with conscious thought and reasonable expectations with respect to teaching manners, appropriate play style with others, sharing, clean-up. She played a significant role in teaching shapes, colors and eventually letters and numbers, etc. Our son would spontaneously say something adult-like such as “oh thank you for giving me milk,” and we knew that that came from Sandra. Sandra is very resourceful and easily became friends with other nannies in our neighborhood. Her outgoing personality was beneficial to our son as it led to many friends and playdates planned and supervised by Sandra. Sandra was always punctual and utterly reliable and easy to communicate with. She was very receptive to instructions and feedback and there was never any friction. I still have the notes from Sandra's early months with us describing how and what our little guy did during the day (bottles, diapers, naps, etc). Both my and my spouse’s work schedules were quite variable and Sandra’s flexibility in accommodating us made the impossible possible. Over the course of the years, my spouse and I got to know Sandra’s family, and we became comfortable with leaving our son at her place for overnights for fun or when we needed extra help.
