About Sandra

Sandra has been part of our family for the past seven years and has cared for our two children with extraordinary love, patience, reliability, and judgment. She began caring for our daughter when she was only three months old and has become one of the most important people in our family’s life. What makes Sandra exceptional is not only that she is a responsible, capable, and loving caregiver. She understands the role she plays in the life of an entire family. During years when many families struggle to balance work and home life, Sandra helped ours thrive. From the beginning, we trusted Sandra with the full care of our children throughout the day. She provided nutritious meals and snacks, ensured they were appropriately dressed and prepared for their activities, and paid close attention to their health, hygiene, and well-being. We always knew they were safe, prepared, and well cared for. Sandra also contributed enormously to who our children have become. Through her nanny circle, she helped foster friendships that continue to this day. She filled their days with playdates, parties, community events, and enriching outings to science museums, farms, libraries, and parks throughout Austin. She did far more than supervise them—she created meaningful childhood experiences that broadened their world. Because of Sandra’s influence, our children are thoughtful, kind, grounded, and helpful. She taught them not only how to be cared for, but how to care for themselves, each other, and the people around them. One of her greatest gifts has been the individual bond she built with each child and the close relationship she helped foster between them. Our children truly are each other’s best friends. Sandra is family to us. Her care extends far beyond the workday. She has attended birthdays, recitals, graduations, baseball games, and spelling bees because she genuinely wanted to support the children. She loves them deeply, and they know it. Although Sandra was hired to care for our children, the positive impact she has had on our family extends well beyond childcare. She brings organization, initiative, and calm to the everyday demands of family life, helping with meals, errands, and countless small tasks that create stability and make a household run effectively. Because of Sandra, our children have thrived, our home has functioned smoothly, and we as parents have been able to show up fully for both our family and our work. Any family who works with Sandra will quickly recognize that she is far more than childcare support. She is a trusted long-term partner who brings well-being, stability, and capacity to a home. We have always compensated Sandra above typical market rates because we believe the value she provides fully merits it. Our family is moving out of state, which is the only reason Sandra’s employment is ending. If we were remaining in Texas, we would want her to stay in our children’s lives for as long as possible.
