I have 18 years of experience in professional animal care. I have experience in feeding specifics, administering medications as well as administering sub-Q fluids, caring for diabetics, bathing with some minor grooming and being able to recognize sickness and take proper action, utilizing proper restraining techniques, able to assist in blood draws, organizing proper playgroups among animals, specialized with geriatrics, and caring for livestock and exotics - you just name it. I have experience making boarding and grooming reservations and being able to handle and correct any issues with customers. I have been responsible for making sure all supplies are fully stocked, assisting in the hiring process of future employees, making employee schedules, running meetings in the absence of the manager, creating new documents to better assist the business and being creative to please our customers. I have also been responsible for overseeing outdoor playgroups for 50 to 65 dogs a day, providing extensive exercise and play plus agility exercises. I have a been responsible for prepping all dogs and cats for the groomer, including ear cleaning and ear plucking, expressing anal glands, teeth. I am also a certified as an advanced pet care technician through the ABKA.
