About Sandra

My name is Sandra, 66, retired from a 38 year career with the US Government, Homeland Security where I was a Senior Executive with a Top Secret clearance. I have hands on experience caring for my mother 89, and my mother-in-law 96, both at the same time in my home for 4 years. My Mom was alert sharp as a tack with severe osteoporosis, mostly bedridden using a walker. Her needs included administering/pickup of medications, taking her to appointments, buying pull ups, wipes, special foods, changing sheets, laundry, meal preparation and delivery, pickup of library books as she was an avid reader, spending time talking and reminiscing. My Mother-in-law was mobile sharp as a tack needing little assistance. Her needs included purchasing foods she liked, meal preparation and cleanup, transportation to appointments and beauty parlor, pickup of medications, shopping outings, laundry, changing sheets, and talking.
