Experience: 10 yrs
With over 20 years in senior care and working with people with disabilities, I've seen how a little kindness can make all the difference. I'm a licensed NAR, and I help with things like respite care, errands, housekeeping, meals, and mobility support. I also assist with dementia care, medication management, and staying active. I adjust easily to changes, stay calm when things get confusing, and always try to get to know each person's story. I keep families in the loop, I'm CPR and First Aid certified, and I've got a reliable car and all my licenses up to date. Plus, I'm totally comfortable with pets. Knowing I can bring a bit of ease to someone's day is really what makes this work so special to me.
Sandi cared for my adult son who had multiple disabilities including a swallowing disorder and a g-tube. She is a very hard worker and also is a person who notices other things a client needs to have done and goes ahead and does them. My son moved into a group care situation. We do miss Sandi. She is very kind and patient. She has also had Nurse Delegation training.
