About Sam

Hi, my name is Sam! I'm 22 years old and I just graduated UC Davis with a Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology major and a minor in Education. I've been a nanny for two families, each with kids ages 6 and 9, for a year. I have also been a leader for one year at the after school program, Davis Kids Klub, and a counselor for 4 years at Cal Aggie Camp, a summer camp for foster youth ages 5-16. These positions have given me experience in conflict resolution, upholding camp, school, and household rules, ensuring both large and small groups of children are safe and accounted for, and fostering an environment where children can be themselves and have fun. I believe that patience, understanding, and calm communication are crucial for the healthy social and emotional development of young minds. I'm well-equipped to provide a variety of activities based on kids' interests and what brings them the most joy! In my free time I like to draw, rock climb, and hike. I look forward to meeting you!
