About Sammy

Hello! My name is Sammy and I love science, language and kids. I hold a MS degree in Molecular Marine Biology. I completed my BS in Marine Science and Spanish, with a minor in Latin American Studies, at Eckerd College. I've cared for kids of all ages! I was babysitter/CPR certified by the Red Cross Association when I was younger and took care of my little brother growing up (we are 6 years apart). I worked as a camp counselor for horseback riding camps many summers, done camp pickups/drop-offs for families with older children, and attended library reading groups etc. with younger children. I worked several long-term, ocasional care positions with families, as well as a long-term, part-time, daily nannying for an infant from age 4mo to ~2yrs. I am an invested care-giver and enjoy making the little ones smile. I also have lots of patience and I understand that kids have their fussy days (don't we all!).
