Per my and Sammi's preference to be home during the clean, I took time off of work as weekends don't work very well for her. Our first appointment was canceled due to a family issue of hers, but it was at least communicated in ample time and family absolutely comes first. We rescheduled for a week later (the day I'm writing this), which I took off work for again. Last night she texted confirming our appointment at 10AM, which I replied to of course and all was well. It is now 1:25PM the day of our appointment and she has not sent nor replied to any of my texts, has not called, has not sent any messages through care.com, etc. I am severely disappointed because I had a hard deadline for my home needing cleaned, and with my mental health, reaching out to anyone was hard. Now I can't take more time off work, and I don't want to put myself back out there to find a new cleaner and risk the same thing happening. It truly feels like the universe is telling me I deserve my current situation and I'm stuck in it.
