About Samie

Hi! My name is Samantha, and I'm a junior at JMU working toward my bachelor's degree in Social Work. I began babysitting my cousin and nephew at a young age alongside my mom. Watching my cousin, who had special needs, helped shape my passion for working with children and supporting individuals with different abilities. I have experience working in two daycare settings-one in Richmond and one in Harrisonburg-which allowed me to work with children of various ages and backgrounds. I recently transitioned from my daycare role to a nanny position, where I can focus on providing more individualized care. I currently nanny for a family on Fridays. And I am available on Wednesdays and weekends (Saturday & Sunday). I hope to build strong, meaningful relationships with families both in Harrisonburg and in my hometown of Richmond. Fun facts about me: I have two dogs (one of them is a tripod), I was adopted from Kazakhstan, and I have five siblings-yes, I'm the baby!
